APACHE TEAR

I am grief, I am expression, I am strength

Born from the tears of the Apache tribe, I am a stone of grief, healing, and powerful resilience.

When you look at me, what do you see?

A pebble, solid and shining,

Black as midnight sky.

But do you see the sadness?

The grief I carry deep inside?

I am born of Apache warriors,

Killed in battle;

I am the tears of their widows, their children.

Tears turned black,

Grief hardened into stone.

I am a stone of sorrow, yes--

But I am more than that.

Like the resilient tribe of so long ago, 

I rise;

Like a broken heart, I heal.

I am grief, I am expression, I am strength.

I am Apache Tear.
